The Outlook and Active Directory Integration module helps an organization manage access to Rendezvous for staff using the Self Service Interface and ensures critical employee information is always up to date. The module imports employees’ record details from Windows to Rendezvous - which creates host records in Rendezvous, complete with user IDs for employees to use the Self Service Interface via a secure login.

The import functionality also means that the risk of transcription error when entering new host data is greatly reduced. Active Directory in Windows stores the details of all the users on the network and their Windows logins. These user details can be imported into Rendezvous to create a host record for each user in the organization, including the user’s name, telephone number, and email address.

Daily Update Of All Staff Records
Each night the records are updated from Active Directory, deactivating the records of those staff members who have left the company and adding in new ones. The IT department can create a Rendezvous group so that only those employees are transferred into Rendezvous. Changes in Active Directory are imported nightly, eliminating time delay in updating employees’ Rendezvous records.

Once a user record is created in the system, the user gains access to the Self Service Interface, which gives every employee in an organization the ability to make/request room bookings. This can be combined with NT user authentication, which automatically logs the user into Rendezvous when he or she opens the login screen. In addition, NT authentication saves users’ time by allowing them to login to Rendezvous automatically.
