The strategic relationship will provide workers with greater mobility and offer a unique experience for managing visitors and resources
Hertford - June 15th, 2011: NFS Corporation
global provider of scheduling software for the
corporate and commercial industries, is proud to
announce a new partnership with Kingston upon Thames
firm Building Zones, UK providers of innovative
products and services aimed at improving the
workplace, including wireless networking, secure
guest online services, audio video, and control
systems.
Founded in 2003, Building Zones pioneered the
'wireless visitor network' to provide
visitors/clients with a digital concierge of online
services, typically in foyers, conference
auditoriums, restaurants, and meeting rooms, but
with potential for coverage in the entire workplace.
Their system was first installed at the British
Library, creating the most used hotspot in central
London. The British Library is also a user of NFS'
Rendezvous meeting room and venue management
software.
As the trend towards mobile and flexible working
continues to rise, Building Zones supports the
corporate industry's drive to provide office
visitors - including mobile workers, clients, and
professional advisors - with online services that
enhance their experience. These could include access
to files, resources such as printers, room booking
systems, and local facilities.
Building Zones' flagship product, Workplace Digital
Concierge, enables visitor access to online services
over separate and secure guest networks which
operate independently from an organization's local
area network.
David Mapps, NFS Sales Manager for Rendezvous,
says: "NFS was selected as a business partner for
Building Zones because we offer the best solution
available for that sector of the market. Also, there
is great synergy between the two organizations.
Everything Building Zones offers provides workers
with greater mobility, flexibility, and efficiency,
and NFS' suite of rooms and resources scheduling
software is designed to help both mobile and
traditional workforces streamline and simplify the
booking process."
"We see greater use of mobile technology within
our customer base," continues David. "People
are already using mobiles for a large number of
functions, from downloading emails to engaging with
social media networks. For solutions to work for our
customers we need to provide both the software and
the mobile infrastructure. This partnership will
enable us to offer a total solution."
In future, as mobile technology becomes the norm for
many users, NFS sees an opportunity to provide a new
range of services that will give staff in a large
organization much greater flexibility in terms of
what they can do on the move.
